I said I was going to write one well-thought out blog post a week, but things have started slamming at work, and I've got an out of state visitor for two weeks. I'm not going to get out a blog post this week. However, I can talk a bit about this weekend.
We went to Salem, and I was so pleased with the visit. We spent the entire time in Peabody Essex Museum. It's a gen of a museum that has absolutely nothing to do with the witch-theme that Salem tends to have. It's beautiful, and I highly recommend it.
We also saw Louisa May Alcott's house - she wrote far more than just Little Women (yes, I knew that, but I wasn't sure if you knew that). Her house was interesting and surrounded by so many other famous art literary folks of the time! I wonder if they all moved there for an interest to participate in that community or if they created a community where they played off each other and constantly worked towards improvement once they all lived there?

Sorry if I seem like I'm stalking your blog, I visited the Peabody Essex Museum once too a couple years back and really like the blue designs in the corridor with the circular staircase and the room with all the porcelain plates.
Nope. I don't think you're stalking my blog. My blog is on the public interwebs. I assume people will read it. I'm actually thrilled that someone I don't know in person is reading it consistently!
That was a great spot, by the way. I loved that section!
